QI've been going out with this guy for a while and I really like him but every time that he's around, I'm really quiet ( trust me, that's unusual) and I get wicked tongue tied... sometimes I can just relax but other times I can't and when I say stuff it comes out all messed up.
What should I do?
AIt sounds like you get pretty nervous around him, and we can all feel tongue-tied when we let our nerves get to us. Probably what you think sounds messed up, doesn't come out that way at all. You are probably being too hard on yourself, and over analyzing the situation. It's easier said then done, but just loosen yourself up and talk to him like you would talk to any of your good friends. Let the true you shine out, because obviously he likes you, or he wouldn't be going out with you. Don't be so afraid that you'll say the wrong thing, and don't censor yourself out of fear.
Maybe it will make it easier at first to have one of your really good friends hang with you guys, so that you'll feel more at ease to goof around and be yourself in front of him.
I hope this helps.
